Sentence কাকে বলে? Sentence কত প্রকার ও কি কি? বাক্য (Sentence) এর সংজ্ঞা দুই বা ততোধিক শব্দ যখন সুনির্দিষ্টভাবে একত্রিত হয়ে বক্তার মনের ভাব সম্পূর্ণরূপে প্রকাশ করে, তখন তাকে বাক্য (Sentence) বলা হয়। যদি শব্দগুলো একত্রিত হয়েও মনের ভাব স্পষ্ট করে না তোলে, তবে তাকে বাক্য বলা যাবে না। একটি পূর্ণাঙ্গ বাক্য গঠনের জন্য শব্দগুলোকে অবশ্যই একটি অর্থপূর্ণ এবং ব্যাকরণসম্মত ক্রমে সাজাতে হয়। ইংরেজি ব্যাকরণে বাক্য হলো মৌলিক একক। এটি এক বা একাধিক শব্দের সমষ্টি যা একটি সম্পূর্ণ ধারণা, অনুভূতি বা অর্থ প্রকাশ করে এবং সাধারণত একটি কর্তা (Subject) ও একটি ক্রিয়া (Verb) নিয়ে গঠিত হয়। এছাড়াও, বাক্যে কর্ম (Object) বা পরিপূরক (Complement) থাকতে পারে এবং শব্দগুলো যথাযথভাবে সাজানো থাকে। মনে রাখা জরুরি, ক্রিয়া (Verb) ছাড়া কোনো বাক্য গঠিত হতে পারে না। নিচের উদাহরণগুলো লক্ষ্য করুন:  * Shina eats pizza. Affirmative to Negative:
