Tag Question

Tag Question: সংজ্ঞা, নিয়ম ও উদাহরণ সংজ্ঞা সহজ ভাষায় বলতে গেলে, Tag Question হলো একটি ছোট প্রশ্ন যা কোনো বিবৃতির (statement) শেষে জুড়ে দেওয়া হয়। এর মূল উদ্দেশ্য হলো শ্রোতার কাছ থেকে সমর্থন বা সম্মতি আদায় করা। ব্যাকরণগতভাবে, Tag Question একটি ইংরেজি বাক্যের শেষে তার সত্যতা বা সমর্থন নিশ্চিত করার জন্য ব্যবহৃত একটি সংক্ষিপ্ত প্রশ্ন। একটি বাক্য হ্যাঁ-বোধক (Affirmative) হোক বা না-বোধক (Negative) হোক, Tag Question সেই বক্তব্যের প্রতিধ্বনি করে। Tag Question তৈরির মূল নিয়ম যদি মূল বাক্যটি হ্যাঁ-বোধক (Affirmative) হয়, তবে Tag Question টি না-বোধক (Negative) হবে। যদি মূল বাক্যটি না-বোধক (Negative) হয়, তবে Tag Question টি হ্যাঁ-বোধক (Affirmative) হবে। Tag Question এর শেষে অবশ্যই প্রশ্নবোধক চিহ্ন (?) দিতে হবে। মূল বাক্যের Subject Tag Question এ সর্বদা Pronoun (সর্বনাম) রূপে ব্যবহৃত হবে। মূল বাক্যটি যে Tense-এ থাকে, Tag Question-এর Subject-এর পূর্বে সেই Tense-এর Auxiliary Verb (সাহ...

  সংজ্ঞা:  Tag শব্দের অর্থ জুড়ে দেওয়া। ইংরেজি বাক্যের শেষে সমর্থনসূচক কোন প্রশ্ন জুড়ে দেওয়াকে Tag Question বলে। সাধারণত কোন একটি বাক্য “হ্যাঁ বোধক” অথবা “না বোধক” যাই হোক না কেন তার শেষে উক্ত বাক্যকে সমর্থন করার জন্য যুক্ত করা ছোট প্রশ্নটিই Tag Question। কিছু উদাহরণ: (a) Everybody loves flower, don’t they? (b) Money is a must for our life, isn’t it? (c) So, we should face them with courage, shouldn’t we? (d) We can enjoy a walk outside, can’t we?
