One morning the Giant was lying awake in bed when he heard some lovely music.
বাংলা অর্থ: একদিন সকালে দৈত্য বিছানায় জেগে শুয়ে ছিল যখন সে কিছু সুন্দর গান শুনতে পেল।
It was so sweet to his ears that he thought it must be the King's musicians passing by.
বাংলা অর্থ: সেটি তার কানে এত মিষ্টি লেগেছিল যে সে ভেবেছিল নিশ্চয়ই রাজার বাদকেরা পাশ দিয়ে যাচ্ছে।
But in fact, it was only a little bird singing outside his window.
বাংলা অর্থ: কিন্তু আসলে, সেটি ছিল কেবল একটি ছোট পাখি যা তার জানালার বাইরে গান গাইছিল।
Then the north wind stopped and a delicious perfume came to him through the open window.

He jumped out of bed and looked out. What did he see?

He saw the most wonderful sight.

Through a little hole in the wall the children crept in and they were sitting on the branches of the trees.
বাংলা অর্থ: দেওয়ালের একটি ছোট ছিদ্র দিয়ে শিশুরা হামাগুড়ি দিয়ে ভেতরে ঢুকেছিল এবং তারা গাছের ডালে বসেছিল।
In every tree there was a little child.
বাংলা অর্থ: প্রতিটি গাছে একটি ছোট শিশু ছিল।
And the trees were so delighted to have the children back again that they covered themselves with blossoms.
বাংলা অর্থ: আর গাছেরা শিশুদের আবার ফিরে পেয়ে এত আনন্দিত হয়েছিল যে তারা নিজেদের ফুলে ঢেকে ফেলেছিল।
They were waving their arms gently above the children's heads.
বাংলা অর্থ: তারা তাদের হাত শিশুদের মাথার উপরে আলতো করে নাড়াচ্ছিল।
The birds were flying about and twittering delightfully.
বাংলা অর্থ: পাখিরা আশেপাশে উড়ছিল এবং আনন্দদায়কভাবে কিচিরমিচির করছিল।
The flowers were looking up through the green grass and laughing.
বাংলা অর্থ: ফুলেরা সবুজ ঘাসের মধ্যে দিয়ে উপরে তাকিয়ে হাসছিল।
But only in one corner of the garden, it was still winter.
বাংলা অর্থ: কিন্তু বাগানের কেবল একটি কোণে তখনও শীত ছিল।
There, under a tree, a little boy was standing alone crying.
বাংলা অর্থ: সেখানে, একটি গাছের নিচে, একটি ছোট ছেলে একা দাঁড়িয়ে কাঁদছিল।
He was so small that he could not reach up to the branches of the tree.
বাংলা অর্থ: সে এত ছোট ছিল যে সে গাছের ডালে পৌঁছাতে পারছিল না।
The poor tree was still covered with snow, and the north wind was blowing above it.
বাংলা অর্থ: দরিদ্র গাছটি তখনও বরফে ঢাকা ছিল, এবং উত্তর দিকের বাতাস তার উপরে বইছিল।
